Where Foundations Shape Futures

Primary School

Welcome to Primary School

At Parklands Christian College, the Primary years provide a warm, well-structured setting where each child is recognised, cared for, and given space to develop.

At Parklands Christian College, the Primary years provide a warm, well-structured environment where each child is known, cared for, and supported to grow.

Our Primary campus is a place where children don’t just learn, they are inspired to grow and thrive. There is a genuine sense of joy here, seen in the smiles, laughter, and the way students connect with one another and their teachers. It is an environment where every child feels they belong. Learning is active, and designed to spark curiosity, build confidence and encourage independent thinking. Students grow academically while also developing in their relationships, character, and understanding of faith.

Each day balances focused learning with opportunities for creativity, physical activity, and spiritual growth. Within this environment, students build confidence, stay curious, and grow in character as they progress through their learning journey.

Discover and Belong

In our Lower Phase (Prep to Year 2)

In this phase of learning, our motto Foundation for Life is evident and living. Our students are encouraged and guided to be curious, inquisitive and experience the wonders of God's created world. A deep understanding of literacy and numeracy is both explicitly taught and embedded into all that we do, carefully crafted and integrated into our targeted learning experiences.

Student learning is engaging and holistic, allowing them to discover our world and develop their sense of belonging in it.

Grow and Acquire

In our Upper Phase (Year 3 - 6)

In this phase of learning, our students continue to grow and acquire through rich learning. Continuation of our strong literacy and numeracy foundations occur, alongside deep and experiential learning. Students are challenged and inquire about the world around them, both locally and globally. Through strong foundations of who they are in Christ, our students begin to understand their place as a citizen in our community and their impact.
