Middle School Student
Engage and Explore
Parklands Christian College recognises that the Middle School years are a pivotal stage in a young person’s journey, often bringing both excitement and new challenges for students and their families.
During this time, our staff walk alongside each student, offering guidance and encouragement as they begin to shape their identity, build confidence, and develop a healthy sense of self-worth.
As students grow, so does their independence. We intentionally support this by creating an environment where they can take greater responsibility for their learning, make meaningful choices, and develop resilience.
Our approach is both holistic and student-focused, ensuring that each child is supported academically, socially, and emotionally.
By the time students move into their Senior Years, our goal is that they do so with confidence and clarity—having discovered areas of interest, tested their abilities, and gained the skills they need to move forward with purpose.
The Middle School Student
Middle School students enjoy exploring passions & learning interests as well as critical thinking. Further aspects of personal development are experienced through social/emotional awareness & regulation (self and others) and reinforcement that ‘It's ok to fail and make mistakes.’ Students are encouraged to ‘give it a go’ as students are learning to advocate for themselves & others.
Middle School is about exploring belonging and Christlikeness while finding purpose and identity. Our program seeks to develop a servant hearted mindset and encourage the exploration of self-worth.
We ask students to take a stand for what they believe in through opportunities to serve their community, refine and test out their personal skills, and participate in experiences such as International Ambassadors, community assistance and meaningful relationships with one another.
